The European-American University is now in partnership with the Association d’enseignement supérieur par validation des acquis de l’expérience in Geneva, Switzerland for the joint award of Degrees based on the "Validation of Acquired Experience" (VAE). VAE has its origin in France where a landmark law mandating it was passed in 2002.
Many students and graduates enrolled online for the VAE Degree programs make use of their professional skills already acquired which are equivalent to a Degree award based on the assessment and validation of their skills and their educational qualifications already attained. Consequently, the VAE award is based on work experience and professional skills assessment and validation which doesn't require additional coursework or exams.
It is alternatively possible to undertake a coursework based degree program by enrolling in European-American University’s Affiliated Campuses or studying directly with European-American University online. These programs can also use prior learning experience in a mixed mode of assessment.
THE SWISS CONNECTION
In Swiss law, private higher education institutions are not allowed to bear the name "University" but are allowed to award their own fully private degrees. Swiss private higher education institutions often partner with foreign universities for the award of joint degrees.
Under the partnership between European-American University and the Association d’enseignement supérieur par validation des acquis de l’expérience, two separate degrees are to be awarded to successful graduates. They will receive a degree from European-American University awarded under its Royal Charter and a second degree from the Association d’enseignement supérieur par validation des acquis de l’expérience in Switzerland.
